Poetry Ride is heading to Norway along with its traditional participating countries Finland, Estonia and Latvia. The theme of Poetry Ride 2014 is cooperation with universities and meeting the future translators. The ride is visiting universities of Eastern Finland in Joensuu, university of Tartu in Estonia and university of Daugavpils in Latvia, along with an Norwegian university.

Creating networks is one of the core values of Poetry Ride, and including a new country in the festival is a natural way to do that. Networking amongst poets, translators and other professionals of literature has lead to several published translations and many other new ventures. "Everybody knows Ibsen, but exploring today's Norwegian literature is a wonderful opportunity", tells Guntars Godiņš, Poetry Ride's  artistic director.

Poetry Ride 2014 is organised in November with the support from Nordic Culture Point and other generous supporters.
